The Magnolia Cottage at 611 offers guests complete privacy in a cozy turn-of-the-century urban cottage in Old Louisville.  Business travelers enjoy having a place to meet with clients, host a meeting or to work quietly on that big project.  Breakfast for you at Gallery House can be included, or expanded to include breakfast for your business clients.

The Magnolia Cottage at 611 has a classic floor plan of a living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen and bath.   This 750 square foot cottage sleeps four when the sleeper sofa is used. 

The living room features a ten-foot ceiling, ceiling fan, decorative fireplace with candles, sleeper sofa, additional seating and a 25” color TV with cable and remote.  Storage is provided for sofa sleeper linens and guests’ personal items. 

 

The bedroom includes a ten-foot ceiling, queen-sized bed and oversized closet, along with custom bed linens and window treatment.

The dining room provides seating for four at an oak table with ladder back chairs accented by hand carvings.  There is additional storage for dishes and small appliances.

 

The modern kitchen includes a full sized gas stove, refrigerator with icemaker, and microwave.  Kitchen equipment includes a blender, coffeemaker, hand mixer, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, flatware and glassware. 

 

The cottage has a modern bath.  It also contains a full sized washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. 

The Cottage can be rented nightly, short-term or long-term.  For nightly rentals, breakfast  is included at Gallery House, next door.

General information for nightly rentals:

• Children (anyone under 18 years of age) in the care of an adult can be accommodated in the Cottage
• The nightly rate is for one or two people.  Third and fourth persons, including children are $20 per extra person.
• Breakfast is included.
• A credit/debit card is required for a reservation.
• A 50% deposit (full amount on a one night stay) confirms your reservation. In non-peak weeks, the cancellation period is 48 hours for nightly rentals. During peak weeks the cancellation period is longer.  Your deposit will be refunded if a cancellation is made more than 48 hours prior to your arrival.  No shows will be charged the full amount of the reservation.
• For the comfort of our future guests, smoking and non-resident pets are not permitted for nightly rentals. 
• Check-in is by appointment. 
• Check-out: 11:00 a.m.  Late check-outs can sometimes be accommodated, depending on how tightly the Cottage is booked.

• Rent is due on the first of the month and will be charged to the credit card on file with us.

• Please discuss bringing your pet with you.  Small dogs (under 40 pounds) and cats are permitted.  An additional non-refundable pet deposit applies.

• Thirty day's notice is required on move-outs. 
• We will review a checklist with you regarding the condition of the Cottage at move-in.
• You will be required to sign a contract.

· You may choose to add on weekday (Monday through Friday) breakfast at Gallery House for an additional fee of $25 per week, or $100 per month.

Rates are as follows:

+ Preference will be given to monthly rentals, therefore The Magnolia Cottage may not be available for specific weekly or nightly dates.  When the Cottage is not under monthly rental, we will book it on a weekly or nightly basis up to one week prior to the date reserved.
