Breakfast at Gallery
House actually starts the evening before, when you will discover your Breakfast Card outside your
door. On it you'll find descriptions of two entrees--one savory and one sweet.
Mark your preference of entree, juices, coffee and tea and specify a breakfast time on the
card. Then drop off your Breakfast Card in the kitchen and your breakfast magically
appears the next morning. You might even have
dreams about the chocolate waffles with whipped cream, sliced strawberries, strawberry
coulis and chocolate ganache. Another guest favorite is lemon stuffed French toast shaped
like a butterfly, with blueberry syrup, lemon curd and whipped cream. The recipe is
featured here on our website. In fact, stuffed French toast is the specialty of the
House. Sometimes we do a version with caramel and bananas or caramel and apples, a
ginger, pear and cranberry version or a cherry version with eggnog sauce around the
holidays.
Other guest favorites include Governor's Eggs,
Bananas Foster crepes, breakfast burritos, breakfast Napoleon, Eggs and Shrimp in
gougere, and omelets cooked to order.
In May we celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a breakfast of baked chilies
rellenos, sweet corn cakes, arroz dulce and cinnamon crisps. Ole! And you should be here
for Derby breakfast. Did I mention it starts with champagne?
All dishes are vegetarian, and many are low fat. Please let us know
of any dietary restrictions or preferences and we will do our best to accommodate your
needs.
