Welcome!  This modern Victorian is located in the Historic Preservation District of Old Louisville. Blending in well, it is a constant surprise that Gallery House is not old or renovated but newly built. The interior is filled with original artwork, favorite books and comfortable furnishings. You can relax while you overlook Central Park from the second floor balcony. Plan your time in Louisville with a generous supply of restaurant recommendations and reviews, maps and brochures in addition to the innkeepers' suggestions on the best places to eat and things to do in town.

The Rose Room--What a great place to relax after a day on the convention floor, attending business meetings or sightseeing!  A rose comforter warms the panel bed crafted from wormy maple solids and cheery veneers.  The matching armoire houses a television and plenty of space for your stuff.  There's a large private bath with  a Delta surround shower with three shower heads that I'm pretty sure you're going to like.  Original art featured in this room includes works by Gordon Moffett, innkeeper , art glass and an antique family portrait, among other pieces.  Our largest room, The Rose, overlooks Central Park and is adjacent to the second floor balcony.  $95 per night, plus taxes.  (Specials and special events affect the rate.)

The Garden Room--Gordon and I both grew up in the time when families always grew gardens.  I can remember as a child, eating wonderful tomatoes warm from the sun and the gooseberries barely turning pink being made into pies.  Gordon has great childhood memories of tapping sugar maples, then spending all day with his father cooking the sap into syrup.  Well, we're all grown up now and live in the city where gardening is sometimes a challenge.  Gallery House is a city house, and therefore doesn't have much yard space - so we brought the garden inside!  The Queen-sized bed is draped in vines and decorated in a four seasons motif.   Original art and prints in the Garden room feature landscapes by various artists including Gordon Moffett and Rich Ernsting.  $85 per night, plus taxes.  (Specials and special events affect the rate.)

The Western Room--We went to Arizona on our honeymoon a few years ago.  After exploring Tucson, we decided to drive north to the Grand Canyon.  About halfway to the canyon, we drove through Sedona.  "The Canyon can't be better than this!", we both said, and decided to stay in Sedona and explore red rock country.  Our love affair with the American Southwest was born!  (We did get to the Grand Canyon the next year and it was spectacular also.)  The Western Room features a Queen-sized bed and matching night stand and armoire in a rustic combination of light pine with black metal accents and carved overlays.  The private bath in the Western Room has a shower only (no tub.)  The Western Room overlooks the pocket garden at the rear of the house.  Original art in this room includes works by Central  and South American artists in addition to works by Gordon Moffett, innkeeper.  $85 per night, plus taxes.  (Specials and special events affect the rate.)
